This past Saturday, February 28, 2026, our NTHS National Honor Society members represented PHS at the LJISD Heart Walk at the LJISD Stadium — standing (and walking) together to promote heart health awareness in our community. 🐺💙
Heart health is maintained by adopting daily habits that help control blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar while promoting a healthy weight. With just 30 minutes of walking each day, adults can improve their cardiovascular health by up to 35%. 🚶♀️🚶♂️
Small choices make a powerful difference. This message is vital for our families and our community — prevention starts with movement, awareness, and commitment.

El pasado sábado 28 de febrero de 2026, nuestros miembros de la Sociedad Nacional de Honor NTHS representaron a PHS en la Caminata del Corazón de LJISD en el Estadio de LJISD — unidos (y caminando) para promover la conciencia sobre la salud del corazón en nuestra comunidad. 🐺💙
La salud del corazón se mantiene adoptando hábitos diarios que ayudan a controlar la presión arterial, el colesterol y el nivel de azúcar en la sangre, al mismo tiempo que promueven un peso saludable. Con solo 30 minutos de caminata al día, los adultos pueden mejorar su salud cardiovascular hasta en un 35%. 🚶♀️🚶♂️
