Palmview High School Art Students Did It Again!

It all starts with an idea and the desire to create. Palmview High School Art students competed at V.A.S.E. (Visual Art Scholastic Event) held this past March 7th at McAllen Nikki Rowe High School.

The competition consisted of artworks varying from digital photography, mixed media, painting, ceramics, sculpture and airbrush. It was an intense and challenging competition with Art students participating from all over Region One schools.

Students spent long, exhausting, and frustrating hours developing their concepts and slowly watching the transformation of an empty surface to an amazing, and in several cases, personal art pieces. The whole process was lengthy, but worth it!

Palmview High School students brought home, for the 6th year in row, straight 4’s with high marks. Every student received medals, from which four moved on and advanced to state. State competition will take place at San Marcos High School on April 25th, 2020.

Ms. Moran is exceptionally proud of each one of these talented and hardworking artists.

We would like to acknowledge Mr. Leo Perez and Ms. Velma Cisneros for their valuable help and generosity when it came to helping and assisting our students.

Now, to recognize our amazing students with high ranking and medals.
